Questions
Is it really free?
Yes. Everything that runs on your computer is free, forever, with no feature limits. We plan to charge for Cloud and Team, which run on our servers. Sponsors help keep the local app free.
Do I need an account?
No. Download, open, design. You sign in only to the services you choose: your coding agent with your own subscription, and Cloudflare when you deploy.
Which agents work?
Claude Code and Codex are set up for you in a few clicks. Gemini CLI and other terminal agents run in the built-in terminal too, and reach the canvas through 4B Pen’s own connection, so they see what you select.
What does telemetry collect?
A daily anonymous ping with the app version and system, and no ID. Detailed usage stats are sent only if you say yes, and never include your files, layer names or prompts. You can turn both off in Settings → Privacy.
What happens when I leave beta?
The local app stays free. Your projects are ordinary folders and .fig files on your computer, so they keep working whatever we change. Cloud and Team will be optional paid add-ons.
