Privacy, in plain English
Your designs, code and prompts stay on your computer. Here is exactly what 4B Pen sends, and how to turn it off.
The short version
- Your designs, file names, layer names, text, code, prompts and keys never leave your computer unless you share, sync or deploy them yourself.
- The app sends one anonymous ping a day, with no ID. You can turn it off.
- Detailed usage stats are sent only if you say yes, and you can stop any time.
- You don't need an account to use 4B Pen.
What telemetry collects
The daily ping
Once a day, official builds send these fields to feedback.fourbpen.xyz. The ping has no ID, so two pings from the same computer can't be linked.

Usage stats, only if you say yes
4B Pen asks once, with two equal choices: No thanks and Share stats. If you agree, the app makes a random install ID on your computer. It isn't linked to an account, an email address or anything else about you. These are the only events it can send, along with the build fields above:

The service rejects any event or value that isn't on this list. It never receives file contents, file or layer names, prompts, or code. Usage stats are kept in our own database on Cloudflare, in the EU, for 12 months, then deleted. They go to no analytics company.
What we never collect
File contents, designs, prompts, code, your agent's conversations, keys, and your IP address. The service doesn't log addresses.
How to turn it off
- Settings → Privacy has a switch for the daily ping and one for usage stats.
- Starting the desktop app with
DO_NOT_TRACK=1in its environment turns off both. - When you stop sharing usage stats, the app deletes its install ID.
Things you choose to connect
- Your coding agent runs with your own account at its provider, under that provider's privacy policy.
- Deploy sends your built app to your own Cloudflare account.
- Email sign-ups (beta updates and the Cloud waitlist) store your email address. We send one email to confirm it; unconfirmed addresses are deleted after seven days, and every email has a link to remove yours.
This website
fourbpen.xyz uses no tracking cookies and no third-party analytics. Fonts are served from this site. Sign-up forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to stop spam.
